HMP Blundeston provides rehabilitation interventions for Category C prisoners that are predominantly from the East of England.
We offer a motivational environment where staff talk in terms of change, and prisoners experience role models who encourage and support them towards rehabilitation.
HMP Blundeston provides a large number of high intensity Healthy Relationship Programmes and a Democratic Therapeutic Community for offenders that are medium to high risk of harm.
We have a 60 bed dedicated lifer wing where staff are conversant with the parole process and support the needs for prisoners serving determinate and indeterminate life sentences.
Blundeston offers prisoners the opportunity to work a full working week in industrialised workshops where they learn real skills and earn qualifications. Prisoners can also progress through hard work to live on our 16 bed dedicated ROTL wing and work in real jobs in the community.
